Nancy R. Mobley, SPHR – President & Chief Executive Officer

Nancy R. Mobley As Insight’s founder and CEO, Nancy enjoys bringing her vision to life - building exceptional workplaces for her clients by developing their human resources. Her passion for linking people performance to increased business performance has a proven track record, both for her clients and the Insight team.

Under Nancy’s direction, Insight has built its own exceptional workplace; one that is repeatedly recognized by The Boston Business Journal as a Best Place To Work in Massachusetts and on the national level by The Stevie Awards as Employer of the Year and as Best Overall Women-Owned Service Business. In 2006, Nancy was featured as one of six “Woman to Watch” in New England by The Boston Women’s Business Journal. Nancy takes great pride in partnering with Insight’s clients to realize their own dreams for success.

Prior to founding Insight, Nancy was a Senior Consultant and Team Manager for Watson/Wyatt Worldwide where she led complex organizations in developing effective performance strategies. Nancy began her career in HR at Prime Computer by managing strategic business partnerships, compensation, benefits, training, and employee relations functions. Nancy is recognized as a coach, teacher, and author in the area of building high performance work environments. A graduate of Wheaton College, Nancy is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Society of Human Resource Management. She currently serves on two boards; the Center for Women and Enterprise National Council and the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts, both of which fuel her passion for developing the next generation of women leaders.

Molly B. Lee – Controller

Molly B. LeeAs Insight’s Controller since 1999, Molly oversees the company financial activity on a day-to-day basis. She is best known for her ability to “carry a big stick” by tightly managing cash flow, financial reporting, AR/AP and Payroll. For that last reason, we at Insight worship Molly Lee! Prior to her work with Insight, Molly had ten years experience as a Financial Manager at Digital Equipment Corporation and Polaroid Corporation. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Babson College with a major in Finance, Investments and Economics.

Jane O'Connor – Senior Business Advisor

Jane O'ConnorJane is an enthusiastic, team-player who takes pride in being a part of her clients’ successes. With 15 years of account management and business development experience, Jane offers a “solution sell” to her clients. Her ability to work closely with clients to understand their unique needs, organizational culture, and short- and long-term objectives allows her to develop customized solutions to meet the individual needs of her clients.


Jeff Wright – Business Development Advisor

As the company’s Business Development Advisor, Jeff is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities. He brings with him over 20 years of inside sales experience with leading high tech companies such as Prime Computer/Computervision, Banyan Systems and Concord Communications. Jeff is a graduate of Suffolk University with a B.S. in Business Administration

Tracy James – Business Manager

Tracy JamesAs Business Manager for Insight, Tracy masterfully orchestrates the running of our day to day operations. Tracy’s expertise is in creating a streamlined process for administrative functions, communications, and work flow that allows the team to function efficiently and cohesively. Tracy plans, directs and oversees Insight’s infrastructure including resource allocation, contract facilitation, IT system management, administrative processes, and final packaging of client deliverables.

Before joining Insight, Tracy held Office Manager roles at two CPA & business consulting firms in Boston and built a strong accounting background in the high tech and architecture industries. Tracy holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH.

Rebecca Blake – Client Services Manager

Rebecca BlakeRebecca has been an integral member of the Insight team in building and developing the “Insight” way since 2002. Her clients always note her warm and fun personality which she uses to build excellent client relationships. Rebecca is highly recognized for her ability to quickly address client service issues on all human capital issues, ranging from strategic to tactical.

Her knowledge of multi-state compliance issues, human resource policy and practices, and operational strategy is consistently recognized by clients for exceptional quality service. Rebecca has a flawless attention to detail and knowledge of HR compliance which puts her clients at ease. Prior to being promoted into her role as HR Consultant in 2005, Rebecca was Operations Manager at Insight, where she skillfully managed the relationship between the client and internal operations.  Prior to joining Insight, Rebecca was Business Coordinator at Brodeur Worldwide, a public relations firm focused on serving technology based businesses. Her operations experience was gained at FleetBoston and MBIA Insurance Corporation. Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY.

Janet Bulian – HR Consultant/Recruiter

Janet BulianJanet has earned the reputation for being a pro-active and tenacious Recruiter. Having worked across many industries, Janet has the unique ability to adapt her model to the multitude of businesses that comprise our diverse client base. Honest, upfront and responsive, Janet considers herself to be an extension to her client’s workforce and therefore strives to be as efficient and cost effective as possible in order to help her clients meet their business goals.

Janet is a pro at making the recruitment process seamless and lightening the often overwhelming load that her clients often face when it comes to filling positions. Before joining Insight, Janet worked for Dartmouth Associates, a retained Executive Search Firm, as a candidate developer. Before that, Janet was employed by Morse Shoe Company in Canton where she began as a corporate recruiter and ultimately held the position of Manager of Executive Development. Janet holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration for the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Melinda Keegan – HR Consultant

Melinda KeeganMelinda Keegan’s practical HR knowledge and excellent relationship skills is the cornerstone to her client delivery, and with several years of generalist experience she has earned a reputation as being a dedicated, innovative Human Resources professional. Specifically, Melinda’s generalist background includes employee relations, performance management, benefits, training/development and recruitment. Before joining Insight, Melinda worked for CombinatoRx, a biopharmaceutical company, where she ultimately held the position of Director of Human Resources.

During her tenure, the employee growth exceeded 300%! Here, Melinda earned the respect of the Executive Team as a key advisor during the transition from a private to a public company. Previously, she was employed by Roger Williams Medical Center where she worked in Public Relations and Development.

Melinda holds a B.S. in Health Policy & Management and Liberal Arts from Providence College and a Masters of Science in Human Resources from Suffolk University. She is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Society of Human Resource Management. Melinda is a member of the Northeast Human Resources Association and the Society for Human Resources Management. Melinda is passionate about having a hand in solving an organizational problem, easing the growing pains of a company effectively through people, finishing a project; while reaching these outcomes efficiently and feeling proud of the final result!

Laura Hogan – HR Consultant

Laura HoganWith more than 10 years of generalist experience, Laura Hogan has earned a reputation as being a dedicated Human Resources professional. Specifically her generalist background has been in human resources compliance, benefits and recruitment. In addition, her experience has been in retail, heath care, and high tech, where she also gained knowledge around international HR issues.

Having worked with small companies, Laura thoroughly understands the internal and external pressures of Insight’s clients to “do more with less.” Her expert listening skills have helped her to get client’s answers quickly and also have given her the ability to gain a clear understanding into client priorities to help them integrate Insight’s offerings. Laura is a member of the Northeast Human Resource Association. She holds a B.A. in English from the University of New Hampshire and an M.S. in Business from Lesley College.

Elaine MacLellan – Senior HR Consultant

Elaine MacLellanElaine is a management and organizational development consultant with over 18 years’ experience with a proven track record of designing and delivering results-oriented training and development programs. Her areas of expertise are leadership development, competency modeling, talent and performance management, team building, coaching, and career development.

She consistently receives client praise for her comprehensive yet practical program designs, her warm, professional, and interactive training style, and her ability to create and imbed HR processes/systems that promote employee performance and development across an organization. She has worked for companies in the financial, high tech, and health care industries including IDX Systems Corporation, now GE Healthcare IT.She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a Masters degree in Education both from The Ohio State University. Elaine is certified in Lominger Limited Inc.’s Organization Architect Suite, including Voices 360. She is a member of the Steering Committee for the Creative Work Options Network (CWON) Special Interest Group within the New England Human Resources Association, and is also an active member of the American Society for Training and Development, and the OD Learning Group.

Louise Mallette – Senior Consultant

Through her coaching, consulting, and facilitating expertise Louise is dedicated to helping individuals and organizations “get from Point A to Point B” and manage the change and transition process to get it right. She focuses on strategic planning, leadership, team, and organizational assessment and development to build effective organizational cultures. Her clients represent healthcare, financial services, technology, consumer goods, and diverse non-profits. Earlier she integrated change management and human resources planning in her roles at Chase Manhattan Bank, Hewlett-Packard Company, 3Com Corporation, Honeywell Information Systems, and as a Senior Vice President at Pioneer Investment Management, especially in the context of merger and acquisition. Previously, she completed General Electric’s Employee Relations Training Program, built an early career planning program for Skidmore College, and was the first woman grievance officer for the City of Boston. She continues her adult learning and facilitation as the co-chair of the marketing committee for the Human Resources Leadership Forum and is a regular presenter at the Organization Development Learning Group. She participates in the Boston Facilitator’s Roundtable, the Boston Improv Lab, and is a coach for Babson College students. Louise holds a B.A. from Skidmore College, is MBTI qualified, and is a Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara certified coach.

Robert Merriam – HR Client Executive

Robert MerriamBob is skilled at quickly grasping the essentials of a business, identifying the human capital drivers in a firm, and creating ways to focus human assets on strategic objectives. He is an accomplished, senior Human Resources executive with broad strategic and tactical experience in major HR functions. Bob’s experience has exposed him to a variety of business profiles: medium and smaller-sized, privately-owned and publicly-traded, well-capitalized and highly-leveraged, union and non-union.

Bob demonstrates success at developing and implementing HR initiatives, policies, and practices that are tailored to accomplish specific, client needs. He brings to the Insight team specific strengths in benefits management, labor/employee relations, recruitment, training, organizational development, legal compliance, and safety, among others. Prior to joining Insight, Bob was Director of Human Resources for Novacel, Inc., a four-site, 400-employee, $113 million specialty manufacturing company. Previously, he served as Divisional Manager of Human Resources for Ivex Packaging Corporation, Manager of Human Resources for L&CP Corporation, and Personnel Manager for W. R. Grace and Company. Bob holds an M. B. A. from Babson College and a B. A. from the University of Vermont. He is a member of the Northeast Human Resources Association and the Society for Human Resources Management. Bob also serves on the Board of the Metro South/West Regional Employment Board.

Kelly Papa – HR Consultant/Recruiter

Kelly PapaKelly brings a business minded approach to recruitment by learning all she can about a client before engaging in a new search. A company’s culture, financial health and the hiring manager’s style of management are just a few areas that Kelly focuses on before launching a new assignment. Always flexible in her approach, Kelly is able to customize Insight’s product to best fit our clients needs. Kelly is an innovative thinker, always prepared with a number of creative alternatives to help our clients solve their recruitment needs.

Rachael Peterson – Director of Compensation

Rachael PetersonRachael aims at taking some of the “fear” out of compensation programs and works diligently to help her clients feel comfortable in the design, development and delivery of compensation programs. She is able to create solid compensation programs and breaks her “number crunching” techniques down into lay-person terms for her clients.

By developing strong client relationships and educating them on the fundamentals of compensation programs and design, Rachael is able to make her clients feel confident and knowledgeable about the “numbers and the story they tell”. This approach has allowed her clients to build strong compensation programs that focus on maintaining a competitive market position and enable them to retain and reward their most critical talent. Rachael’s experience includes corporate compensation roles at many companies in the Greater Boston area, Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC), The Foxboro Company, Kronos Inc. and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Bryant College.

Danielle Riley – HR Consultant

Danielle RileyDanielle Riley has dedicated the past ten years to building a progressive career in training and employee development. You can expect Danielle’s trainings to be full of energy, interaction and an up-beat pace! Her experience encompasses all aspects of the training and development cycle and spans industries including, Hi-tech, Medical, Telecommunications, Financial Services and Internet Marketing.

Danielle spent the early part of her career building and facilitating technical and proprietary application training programs. From there, she gained HR experience as a Global Manager for Training and Organizational Development where she successfully implemented programs to improve employee, manager and organizational performance.Danielle has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Hampshire. Carol Salloway – Director of Talent Management

Carol SallowayWith 20 years of management consulting experience, Carol provides expert level organizational development and executive coaching services to clients. She is known for her masterful skills of asking powerful questions and helping individuals and teams achieve clarity about issues, opportunities and actions that lead to results. She builds long-term and meaningful relationships with clients.

Prior to working with Insight, Carol was the Human Resource Practice Manager for 10 years at a management consulting firm (now Clark Consulting). Carol holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Simmons College and an MBA degree from Boston University with a concentration in Organizational Behavior. Carol is qualified in the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI), and is certified in various 360° instruments, including the Center for Creative Leaderships’ Benchmarks, the Leadership Effectiveness Analysis (LEA), and the HayGroup’s Emotional Competence Inventory (ECI).She also utilizes the Enneagram and the PaperRoom coaching process. She is a certified coach through New Ventures West. Carol is an active member and Committee Chairperson in the Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA). She is also a member of the Human Resources Leadership Forum (HRLF) and the International Coaches Federation (ICF).

Nancy Saperstone – HR Consultant

With 15 years experience as a Human Resources Generalist in varying industries and size organizations, Nancy is an invaluable resource to her clients. She has worked with companies with very mature Human Resources infrastructures, such as Ernst & Young LLP and Random House, Inc., as well as start up companies, such as SmartTime Software, where she helped lay the building blocks for a successful organizational and HR philosophy, while ensuring federal and state compliance.

Whether she is tackling a difficult employee relations issue, training clients or researching a new federal law, Nancy takes on challenges eagerly and always engages herself fully. Nancy gains the trust of her clients and facilitates positive outcomes that advance organizations in the right direction. Nancy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and a Masters of Education from Vanderbilt University. She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and Northeast Human Resource Association.

Amy Scannell – HR Consultant

Amy Scannell Amy Scannell is a seasoned HR Professional with over fifteen years of experience with a concentration in Benefits, Communications and Employee Development. In addition to her high energy and enthusiasm, Amy brings to Insight many years of generalist human resource expertise in the areas of HR communications, HR project management, process improvement, compliance, benefits, and training development and delivery. Special knowledge areas also include dealing with expatriates and developing employee health and safety initiatives.

Amy enjoys helping people, and for that reason finds HR process improvement and implementation compelling in that her knowledge can assist both employee and organizational growth. Prior to joining Insight, Amy was most recently Benefits Manager at Sentient Flight Group consolidating benefits, processes and policies for 1,800 employees nationwide. Previously, Amy was an HR Consultant at Invensys where she crafted and published HR policies and procedures, selected and implemented benefits, and managed the HR communication strategy. Prior to this assignment, Amy was the Senior Benefits and Compensation Specialist, coordinating benefits and employees’ total compensation statements, and designing wellness initiatives. At Invensys she established a reputation as a proactive, articulate, business oriented HR professional with outstanding client relationship skills. Amy’s past work experience spans education, insurance and consulting industries. Amy holds a BA from Mount Holyoke College.

Mal Watlington – Senior Consultant

Mal WatlingtonMal is an expert in human capital strategy, organization performance metrics and large group process design. His passion is helping companies capitalize on opportunities which occur at the intersection of marketplace, organization and individual performance. He is also fascinated with the potential of new media to connect people with one another across time and space.

With 30 years experience as a senior executive and consultant, Mal has gained hands-on experience in the financial services, public utility, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, transportation, petrochemical, healthcare/hospitals, high technology industries, and in higher education and government at the local and federal levels. In addition, he has direct experience in industrial and corporate sales, in both the United States and Europe. Prior to his work in private industry, he was the Program Manager and Administrative Director of the Executive Program at the University of Michigan’s Graduate School of Business Administration, and held positions in city and county management in two growing metropolitan areas. Mal is on the board of strategy advisors for Industrial Revolutions LLC, a venture investment and advisory firm, is one of the founding principals of The Robb Group LLC, a revenue growth consulting firm and is founding principal of City Square Consulting, Inc. Mal served as an Associate Partner and Principal at two of the world’s largest consulting firms, Accenture LLP and CSC Index. Mal holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Relations as well as a Masters in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is MBTI certified, has developed certification programs for Stress Directions, Inc. and is an NLP practitioner.
